Solo (Surakarta)

A supplement on my last report. B and R seem to suffer from some intestinal discomfort probaby due to the ice cubes from the restaurant of the brother of the sultan where we had a dissappointing dinner yesterday. When - on the way to Solo - visiting Prambanan we skipped a candi because R&B were to tired. It was a relatively short drive. First we payed the prince a visit in his kraton. A beautiful palace, almost as impressive as the kraton Yogkarta. Meanwhile it was time for lunch. Just opposite of the kraton, on the left corner we had lunch at OmahSinten (jl Diponegoro 34-54), very moderate prices for a small lunch (Idr 200K, 4 pers.) but the food was excellent as was the presentation of it; for some perhaps a bit spicy. So take care and listen to the advise they give you. Thereafter we went to the hotel to check in. On the way I saw Monumen Pers Nasional. After check in we went back to the museum to see if they had any information about my granduncle. Sadly enough they were already closed because of Ramadan. Tomorrow I will not have any time to visigt since they only open at 9 am and we wil leave for Malang at 8. Next we visited a pasar, obligatory when on vacation with B. We bought some pisang Lampung (closest to pisang monyet) and pisang susu. We think w'll have dinner in the hotel. Oh yes, Skype; the internet is to slow for that. Even this site takes minutes to load.
